Director Ameer has alleged that producer Gnanavelraja of Studio Green has cheated him by not giving royalty for the Telugu dubbed version of "Paruthiveeran". However, the producer has denied it and filed a defamation case against Ameer.

Says the producer, 'We have filed a defamation case against the director. Since the matter is pending in court. I can't comment on it. All that I can say at this point of time is he is trying to tarnish my image.'

On Tuesday, Ameer filed a complaint with the Greater Chennai Police Commissioner J K Tripathy that "Paruthiveeran" has been dubbed in Telugu without his knowledge and being the director of the film, he was not paid the royalty.

'Besides directing the movie, I had penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for it. It is not fair that I was not informed when plans are being made to dub the movie in Telugu,' Ameer said in his complaint.
