December 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Last year Duncan Jones debuted as a director with the sci-fi Moon and the man is back again with another sci-fi Source Code that will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival. In spite of being an intriguing science fiction film Moon failed to get any recognition from the various award associations, however, many will be looking forward to Jones sophomore venture Source Code.
The film has Jake Gyllenhaal as a soldier who is part of a governmental experiment where he is being transported into a body of a train passenger. The train is to be bombed and as the passenger Gyllanhaal who is in Sean Fentress body has only eight minutes to find out the source of the bomb and who the person that is behind the train bombing. This experiment is done to prevent future train bombing and terrorist attacks, but while Gyllanhaal is trying his best to save the passengers, among them there is also the girl whom he loves, nature and time keeps getting on his way.
Though the film might sound a tad bit similar to that if Dj vu and The Matrix but if Jones first film is anything to go by Source Code is going to be worth the money. The film will premiere on March 11, 2011 at Austins SXSW Film Festival in Texas and on April 1 next year, Summit Entertainment is releasing it in the U.S.
