Looking at his experimental style and the pattern of picking films one at a time, many compared current age superstar Ranbir Kapoor to the perfectionist Aamir Khan.

Like Aamir, Ranbir too has been doing one film at a time and has been experimenting with his looks in real for his reel character. His choice of films too, range from commercial capers to game changers. But Ranbir states that Aamir who has been in the industry for more than two decades is way ahead of him.

He later added that, he doesn’t intend to follow anyone deliberately. "I have great respect for Aamir sir but I would like to clear that I am not following anybody", said Ranbir.

He adds that he will experiment in different ways when it comes to cinema. "I want to try my hands at all kinds of cinema. Though I am not into experimental cinema, what I am doing right now is fun, frothy and commercial", added Ranbir.

His last release 'Barfi' was a great risk that paid off handsomely. However his next, 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' is a commercial flick touted to be a gen-x love story.
