Shahid Kapoor might have had a Casanova image in the media but in reality he has a more delightful side to his personality. The heartthrob of many, Shahid, is also a dutiful son to his parents Pankaj Kapur and step-mother Supriya Pathak. His real mother is Neelima Azeem but he still has a very good relationship with his step-mother. His forth coming film 'Mausam', being directed by his father Pankaj Kapur, was more of a family affair than any other professional commitment.

On the sets, when Shahid was present as an actor and Pankaj as a director, they both had the moral support of Supriya, who was also present. Be it their meals or script complexities, Supriya was their savior. Apart from taking care of her step-son and husband's meals, Supriya often gave creative inputs throughout the shooting of 'Mausam'. Her involvement increased day by day and helped them shape the film better. From the scene execution to the enactment of the dialogues or emotions, Supriya made all the necessary modifications for its betterment. Shahid wants to thank his step-mum for her continuous support, invaluable contribution and hence is planning to credit her as 'Associate Director'. He immediately sounded the producers, who are now considering enrolling Supriya's name in the film's credits. Shahid has almost convinced the producers and possibly Supriya Pathak's name will prominently feature in the credit roll as an 'Associate Director' for 'Mausam'.
