Use of derogatory term for the police lands Aamir in trouble

3rd August 2015

A Delhi based filmmaker Ulhas PR has reportedly filed a complaint against Aamir Khan for the usage of a derogatory word 'Thulla' for the police in his 2014 blockbuster film 'PK'.

The filmmaker explained the reason why he filed the complaint and said, "I saw the film on July 26, on TV. In the film, Aamir has called a police officer 'thulla' in one scene. Since last four to five days, I was thinking if a complaint can be filed against Delhi CM for using the same word then why hasn't any police official filed a complaint against him, whose films are seen across the world,"

On questioning the fimmaker as to why he filed the complaint only against Aamir Khan and not the filmmakers, he explained, "Aamir has used the term in the film. If police feels bad about it, then they have to take the case further. I don't have any personal enmity against Aamir... Neither I'm a friend of Kejriwal. The law is same for all."

Earlier too, 'PK' had landed in trouble for taking a snipe on religion and godmen and this time around, it is in trouble because of the slang term used for the police.
