(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Arquette is doing really awesome following his stint in rehab, according to his friend and co-star Hayden Panettiere.

The Hollywood star checked into a clinic over New Year weekend, to receive help for alcohol and other issues.

In October, it was announced David and his wife Courteney Cox Arquette were in the middle of a trial separation. Following the revelation David exhibited some bizarre behaviour, discussing his sex life on a radio show and admitting he feared he was having a nervous breakdown. He was also seen out partying night after night, and eventually decided to get help.

He checked out of the facility towards the end of last month, and is said to be embracing his new way of life. Hayden appears alongside him in upcoming movie Scream 4, and says fans dont need to worry about him.

He's doing great. He's doing really awesome, she explained.

The two stars have been in touch since David left rehab, and she has been impressed by the positive steps hes taken.

Hayden, 21, and David became pals while shooting the movie, with David even arranging a birthday party for her on set. The film also stars Courteney she and David met while making the first movie in the franchise in 1996 Neve Campbell and Emma Roberts, and the whole group become close.

We're all buddies, Hayden told E! Online. It's a big group of us and we're very supportive of each other and he's doing awesome. (C) Cover Media
