Kazhugu runs in trouble

13th March 2012

A court in Chennai has issued a notice to Mannan, who has acquired the overall distribution rights of Kazhugu, on a case filed by a producer that the former had cheated him to the tune of Rs 37 lakh.

Following this, doubts are prevailing over the release of Kazhugu, which was set to hit the screens this Friday.

Meanwhile, debutant director Sathyashiva is excited about his maiden film Kazhugu. Says the director, 'It is a unique story with a touch of realism. It is about a location in Kodaikanal which has gained notoriety as a suicide point. Many couples in love, who have not been able to come together, have ended their lives at this picturesque point. I have written a script based on this and hope to drive home the point that suicide is not the solution for any problem'.

Krishna is nervous as D-day draws closer and is keeping his fingers crossed. Says the actor, 'the movie has come really fantastic. It is about a group of persons who work in difficult situations in a hilly tourist spot like Kodaikanal'.
