Ram Gopal Varma is a trouble magnet again, triggering furious reactions to his upcoming venture Bejawada, featuring Naga Chaitanya and Amala Paul in lead roles.

RGV has been receiving threatening calls and messages, of late, on his cell phone from unknown regarding Bejawada. Followers of a group slain leader, Late. Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga, have already warned him for depicting their leader in wrong way. They said that if he attempts to defame the late leader, they will bann the screening of the film in the state.

Some people have also blamed RGV of castism in context of the lyrics of a song in the movie, on which he says, "Bejawada is purely fictional. It is absolutely not related to anyone alive or dead."

The action saga is based on Vijayawada, with Naga Chaitanya playing a rebellious college-goer who takes on the might of ruthless villains.
